David Allan Corson

March 10, 1960 ~ May 21, 2019 (age 59)

David Allan Corson, age 59, passed away while surrounded by his family on Tuesday, May 21, 2019 after a seven-year battle with Melanoma. Even throughout his battle, whenever asked, he would always describe himself by saying “I’m great!” He was preceded in death by his niece, Betsy Corson. He will be deeply missed by the love of his life of 22 years, Toni Wilbur; his children Holly (Jason) Parks, Philip David (Jenna) Corson, Drew (Dana) Corson, Klay Corson, Chas Wilbur, Theresa Wilbur; grandchildren Ashlynn, Jordan, Ashton, Eva, Jillian, Rhys; parents Walter and Carolyn Corson; siblings Ed (Marilyn) Corson, Roger (Julie) Corson, Nancy (Curt) Bonzheim, Jerry (Melanie) Corson, Kari (Andy) Westlake; special friends Jim Rogers and Ray Wiersma and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncle and friends. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Michael Zakem and his team for their compassion and care for David.

David had many passions, he was often described as a “jack of all trades, and master of each of them”. No one could do it as good as he could. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and most of all, spending time with his family, whom he loved dearly. He worked at Steelcase as a Press Operator for 36 years. One of his most prevalent passions were his classic cars, specifically his 1970 Chevelle and 1979 Pontiac Trans Am. He would often remind his family the importance of changing the spark plugs! His favorite holiday was Halloween. He would always make sure to dress up and trick-or-treat with his grandkids.
