Virginia "Ginnie" (Flagg) White

January 25, 1928 ~ August 18, 2018 (age 90)

Virginia "Ginnie" (Flagg Adams) White went home to be with her Lord on Saturday August 18, 2018.  She was born January 25, 1928 to Winfield and Nan Flagg in Chicago, Illinois.  She married Winfield H. Adams, II on 4/15/50, he preceded her in death on 7/26/87.  She married John P. "Doc" White on 4/6/1991, he preceded her in death 1/29/2009 .  She will be lovingly remembered by her daughters, Deborah (Michael) Jehl, Patricia (Robert) Clark; grandchildren, Andrea (Caleb) Dendy, Daniel Jehl, Samantha (Brad) Wood, Arthur Clark, Kyle White, Brayden White; great-grandchildren, Daynah, Carter, Tanner Wood; niece and nephews, Penny Moniz, William (Sharon) Spelman, Jon (Yolanda) Pierson; many great nieces and nephews.  In addition to her parents and husbands, she was preceded in death by her sons, Kirby Adams, Keith Adams, and Darren White; sister, Fay N. Russell, and sisters-in-law, Joanne Spelman and Margaret Pierson.  

Ginnie lived a life of service and generosity, serving on the Gerald R Ford Boy Scout Council, Camp commissioner at Camp Gerber for many years, Advancement Chair and board member of the local Boy Scout troop 97 for many years as well.  Ginnie was active in her church for over 60 years with committee and board positions, Sunday School Teacher until just 2 years ago, and youth group leader when her kids were young. She also served on the board of the Christian Neighbors Food Pantry until this past year.  She loved to bake and was always at the ready to contribute to a bake sale. She had a special muffin recipe and many around the community were gifted with her muffins.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 13, 2018 from 5-8 p.m. at Kubiak-Cook Funeral Services, Wayland Chapel with a Celebration of Life Memorial Service on Friday, September 14 at 11:00 a.m., with visiting 1 hour prior, at the United Church of Wayland, 411 E. Superior St., Wayland, MI 49348, with Rev. Bonnie Simerly officiating.
