Paul Peter Sprague Jr., age 68, a resident of Hardee County for 48 years coming from Michigan, passed away at his home on Wednesday, May 27, 2020. He was born on August 28, 1951 in Grand Rapids, Michigan. He was a proud member of the Huron Potawatomi Native American tribe in Michigan. Paul retired from Johns on Wheels where he was a truck driver.
He was a special guy and well-loved by those around him.
He was preceded in death by his parents Paul P. Sprague Sr. and Pauline Medawis Sprague; grandmother, Elizabeth Sprague, who raised Paul and his siblings; and brother, Ronald Dean Sprague.
He will be deeply missed by his sister, Mary Sprague Townsend; half-sisters Ronda Hansen Wesaw, Julia Stanhiser, and Loretta Wesaw; special cousins Rachel Mackety and Seth Kequom; as well as many cousins, extended family, and friends in Michigan and Florida.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, June 4, 2020 at Bradley Indian Mission Cemetery in Wayland, Michigan. In memory of Paul and in lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Lung Association.
