Jim “Jimbo Pro” Harris passed away unexpectedly on December 8, 2019. He was preceded in death by his mother, Charlotte Harris; brother, Mark Harris, grandmother, Verda Jones; uncle, John Cowels; cousin, Denise Cowels-Harris; and mother-in-law, Marie Griffin.
Jim will be deeply missed by his beloved wife, his “Bubbles” of 41 years, Sandra Harris; children Josh (Michele) Harris, Travis Harris, and Julia Harris; grandchildren Kaylee, Jordan, Dylan and Kyle; five step-grandchildren; father, Billy Harris; sister, Debbie (Ed) Clark; brothers Dan (Michelle) Harris and Michael Harris; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends.
Jimbo had a love for many things, one of which was shopping – especially for shoes, hats and t-shirts - even though he had enough of those items for everyone he knew. Another love of Jimbo’s was driving, whether it be his “blue racer” or his beloved semi-truck. He knew the roads of America like the back of his hand. Jimbo was larger than life, and had a story for every place one would go with him. He would tell stories of his travels – and he would tell the same story a thousand times, just like it happened yesterday. Everyone who knew him heard of the legend known as “Jimbo Pro.” No matter who you were or where you were, he would be there for you. He would open his door to get them where they needed to go. He was our “Hero.” Of his many loves, there was one he held dearest – the love he had for his family. Husband, dad, papa – it didn’t matter – he made each of his family members feel loved and appreciated. Jimbo touched many lives during his trek through life, and many more will be touched after.
