Joan Gross, age 91, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on September 29, 2019 while surrounded by her family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ed Gross and her parents, Clayton and Mildred Baugh. She will be lovingly remembered by her children Valerie (Dale) Harrison, Daniel (Laila) Jager, Shelley (Jeff) Ladd; 4 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; brother, Alan (Lois) Baugh; and many extended relatives and friends.
Joan loved music and played violin with the Kalamazoo Jr. Symphony. She was gifted in crafts such as sewing, and needle works. Joan shared her passion for quilting and afghans with others by donating her works to local organizations such as the VFW, Allegan Medical Care Community, and Faith Hospice. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Allegan County Care Community for their loving care for Joan.
Visitation with the family will be held from 6 – 8 p.m. on Thursday, October 3, 2019 at Kubiak-Cook Funeral Home – Wayland Chapel, 312 N. Main St., Wayland, MI 49348. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. on Friday, October 4, 2019 at Kubiak-Cook Funeral Home. Joan will be laid to rest at Elmwood Cemetery in Wayland.
